Watch your mouth, Mr. Chairman ...

COLUMBUS — Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern hopes his fiery language will help raise money to fight Tea Party candidates in November.
This week Redfern, the former state representative for Erie and Ottawa counties, used a vulgarity popularly known as the "F word" when addressing a private crowd of steelworkers in Clarington.
The tirade was caught on video and has circulated online. Now Redfern has created a new "Swear Jar" seeking contributions of $10 to promote the party.
"My comments from earlier in the week have become a national story, and many people in the Republican Tea Party have demanded that I apologize," Redfern said yesterday in an email. "I won’t.
"Do the Tea Partiers really think that what I said is worse than comparing President Obama to Hitler, or screaming that he’s not an American? Do they think what I said was worse than denying a child health care because of a pre-existing condition?
"Give me a break," Redfern said. "THEY should be the ones apologizing."
