SANDUSKY — Election season will get underway in earnest next week in this area with the Erie County Chamber of Commerce’s annual political forums.
The first program will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Room 300 of Sandusky High School, 2130 Hayes Ave. Appearing will be candidates for the 9th District of the U.S. House of Representatives and the 80th District of the Ohio House of Representatives. Due to Congress being in session, Rep. Marcy Kaptur likely will not attend.
The second program will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the same location with candidates for Erie County Commissioner and Auditor.
The forums are open to the public and will be taped by Buckeye CableSystem for multiple airings on Channel 81, up to the election.

Members of the public attending will be able to present questions, in writing, to the candidates.
